Resumé James Davy is a facilitator and executive management consultant who expertly assists governmental, business and not for profit organizations become stronger, more effective and productive. With nearly thirty years of executive level experience leading small, medium and large, complex organizations, he easily and quickly grasps the challenges and tough problems faced by leaders of organizations. Jim uses this high level of executive knowledge and understanding coupled with innovative facilitation skills and techniques to find creative and sustainable solutions to problems.

As commissioner of the Department of Human Services Jim introduced such innovative and cutting-edge tools as “Appreciative Inquiry” and “Open Space Technology” to promote and foster collaborative, inclusive approaches to planning and implementation. His innovative facilitated planning strategies coupled with his expertise in community engagement and outreach actively brought internal departmental professionals together with community groups and stakeholders to develop collaborative action plans to solve tough, complex problems As a consultant, Jim has assisted clients in the private, public and not for profit sectors achieve positive bottom line results through organizational performance improvement through strategic planning, team building, reorganizing business operations and systems, training and development and executive coaching. Jim holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Public and International Affairs of Syracuse University and a Bachelors degree from Thiel College. He has served as an adjunct instructor at Seton Hall University and with the Center for Training and Development of Mercer County Community College. Jim also holds a Certificate in Labor Management from Rutgers University.
